What Is LiteraryManager?

LiteraryManager was created out of frustration with the limitations and pitfalls of dealing with traditional methods of literary information management.

The system was built to serve as a replacement for these older methods and to bring the full impact of new technologies to the business of literary management.

Who built LiteraryManager?

Richard W. Kotulski - Lead Developer

Richard has ten years experience working in the field of Literary Management starting his career as a Literary Intern at Portland Center Stage, in Portland, Oregon. Richard worked for six years as part of the literary team behind the Just Add Water/West Festival of new plays at Portland Center Stage.

Richard was Founding Artistic Director of Portland Theatre Works, a new works development company, for two years before moving to Philadelphia where he served as Literary Programming Assistant and Casting Director at The Wilma Theater, as a Board Member of the Philadelphia Dramatists Center, and as a Steering Committee Member of the Philadelphia New Play Initiative.

Richard is also a technologist, working professional as a web designer and developer since 2005 and working primarily with in CSS3, HTML5, PHP, MYSQL and Javascript.

Richard also has a business background, having served as VP of Corporate Operations for AppFog, helping to raise $10M in venture capital, grow the company from 3 to 40 employees, and shepherd it through acquisition by Fortune 158 CenturyLink. Since 2013 he has served as Director of Communications for the CenturyLink Innovations Lab.

Currently, Richard is in the process of builing a large-scale transmedia project, Empire of Australia, which combines technology and live, immersive theatrical experiences to bring a parallel universe to life that you can experience both digitally and in person.
